affirmations are not a recent invention.
least since it is the Bible, proclaimed over 2000 years, so people, particularly Christians, it is standard practice.
affirmations are at Christians since time immemorial "proclamations", and practiced.
At Easter time I find it fitting to present you a few times and proclamations,
I've taken the sake of simplicity of this Free Church congregation in Berlin:
Do you find a difference between affirmations and proclamations?
A small excerpt:
- I believe in the success of victory to the blessing.
me are promised by God.
- I expect success in all areas of my life.
(Success for me is another word for mercy, welfare, prosperity and victory

Similar proclamations, there are "promises . They are God's promises to us from the Bible that we must accept as true for himself / should.
I know from experience, so I know several people who were healed by proclamations adopted and in particular by promises !
A woman I know was sterile and the doctors had ruled out a pregnancy with her and completely written off, you listened to this CD while with promises again and again to one and now she is pregnant - although medically impossible.
And there are many many such reports of healing. Some people I know personally.
My opinion: whatever we accept as true and believe what we are firmly convinced (even if it is currently not yet visible in the outer!) Will happen.

The problem is our own resistance and blockages, self sabotage, etc. get rid of. And
Unfortunately, many of which we have, otherwise we would have all been happy and satisfied;)
